CLARTEX+R : the speciality of a major bait manufacturer

The idea for the anti-slug bait CLARTEX+R, with its innovative manufacturing process, has come to fruition in a specially created large-scale production unit in keeping with the ambitious results of the product.

Chemical treatment is recognised today as the only means of effectively fighting slugs. CLARTEX+R is itself the result of searching studies on the possibilities of the damp route process of manufacturing molluscicide pellets.

Several formulae can be offered nowadays. Clartex+R damp route extruded pellets, guarantee optimum effectiveness and outstanding long-lasting action. Amongst the available active substances, only metaldehyde combines a means of safeguarding the environment with its effectiveness..

CLARTEX Pellets

Without rain Clartex+R remains actively effective for several weeks; even with rain its action persists for about 2 weeks and only then is a new application required.

During rainy periods, the "damp route" formula of Clartex+R means it maintains its long-lasting action for 10 to15 days. The resistance to rain is therefore an important consideration in the effectiveness of this molluscicide.

Repellent

All active substances used can be toxic, indeed very toxic, when ingested by vertebrates. To avoid accidents, manufacturers of such commercial products combine them with repellents. Besides this they recommend never leaving anti-slug pellets within reach of children and storing these products in a special locked place. Clartex+R is combined with Bitrex (bitter tasting agent).

Treatment with CLARTEX+R anti-slug pellets

Treating against slugs present in the soil can be either preventive or curative:
